JG: How would you define your design style?
JM: Modern-day with a wonderfully Italian influence.
JG: Which materials or textures do you favor most when you design?

JG: What colors do you use most when you design?
JM: Purples… grays… sparkle.
JG: What is your most memorable moment or project in your career?
JM: A big job I did while working at CMMI here in Atlanta before moving to Rome. At the time, the project was the Presidential Suite for The Regent One Bal Harbour, Miami. The hotel has since been purchased a few times, changing ownership and now it is a Ritz Carlton.
JG: What Architect, Interior Designer or Artist inspires you?
JM: Bernini—classical, methodical design & engineering. Chagal-- color and emotion. Missoni-- pattern/ color. Valentino—amazing structure and style. Fornasetti—humorism in design. The romanticism of Boldini and the modernism of B&B Italia.
JG: Which design rule would you love to break?
JM: Italian design rule... Putting wall-to-wall wool carpet in the master bedroom of an Italian’s home! (Italians are very anti-carpet!)
JG: Which city or country would you move to for the design & lifestyle?
